There's a new sherif in town and his names Airmuscle!
So heres a little run down on how the purchase of this vacuum went.. TIME CONSUMING! I wanted to see what all the hype was about with this new dyson that came out and bring one on home to see how it worked. I went to sears *don't usually get vacuums here that often* and there were about 7 or 8 people there and wouldn't you know it one sales person... the sales man was just getting down the vacuums that people were asking about and showing them how to turn it on and then disappeared. So I was there looking at this dc28 and comparing it to the dc17 the test carpet at sears sucks! it made it feel 100x's harder to push than it was when I got home but while I was there trying it out a woman asked if I knew any thing about dyson *of course I said yes*
Long story short I was able to play vacuum sales man.. she was a very nice lady.... BUT when we both asked the sales clerk when he returned that we both wanted one... he said they only had ONE in stock.... we looked at each other... then she said Ill take it...
HA HA HA funny nope. I said sorry lady but I was here first... and the sales man remembered getting the vacuum off the shelf for me and said yes mam he was here first. So there I was spend my last 550 dollars on a vacuum.
But there is more! Sadly on the condition that I keep this vacuum I must return the dc17 :( well I went home opend the box and put it together.
Heres where the review starts-
Assembly is as easy as ever just snap the wand on put the attachments on the vacuum and go. when you first go to use the vacuum you will be confronted with five buttons power, bare floors, low, medium, and high pile. It automatically starts up on medium pile and from there is where u just push the pile of carpet you have. This dyson is not as loud as my dc17 and weight is almost identical the 17 might be a few oz's heavier. The vacuum feels even more self propelled than my dc17 and doesn't seem as bulky to me in my opinion. The current and only model at the time * the animal * has the following accessories: Stair tool or as I call it the couch tool, Combo brush * I HATE THIS * I wish dyson just kept the two tools separate this tool to me is awkward and makes me just use other attachments or another dysons tools to * dust * or get things out of the base boards.
Being the animal it comes with a Turbo tool LOVE THIS TOOL its much nicer than the bulky clumsy one that it is replacing at first it looks as tho its not that great but when you actually put it on carpet its brushes go faster and faster and when you take them away it lows down * I think its a safety thing * It also comes with a Flat out tool MY FAVE! Its replacing the low reach tool from what I was told. The low reach tool would always lift up when I would be moving it back and cause it to be removed from the ground the new flat out tool lifts the center portion and keeps constant contact with the floor.
This dyson fluffs like there is no tomorrow! My whole carpet looks like it was just shampooed *that fluffy*. You now have two filters to clean instead of one but is not much of an issue its just giving you cleaner air. The vacuum when you get and turn it on smells like a retired navy ship by that I mean grease. The reason it has it is to keep the moving parts :clutch motor and cam lubricated. The cam helps to push the cleaner head into the floor giving constant and most aggressive cleaning head. The brushes on the head are longer than any dysons made to date and stiff * meaning that it will lift carpet nap and remove lots of stuck dirt *
This dyon is my absolute FAVORITE! I know I ay that in almost every review but this dyson doesnt look that how would you say.... appealing but it sure packs a punch that no dyson has before. This dyson works so well that I will unfortunately be returning the dc17 to cover most of the cost for this one... But the dc17 is a great vacuum and it is and was a very hard toss up.. but the dc17 I purchased I think might have been dropped and hit a few times in shipping as it was because compared to the dc17 at sears mine is 10x's louder * doesn't seem to right * BUT if fooled me because I thought it was fine and it still worked better than any of the others.
Pros: Almost every thing above.
Cons: $599.99 price tag should be $549.99 like the other animals were but still worth every penny, Combo brush is a night mare in the making.

Dyson dc17 Absolute Vacuum cleaner review
The dyson dc17 is a remarkable new full size upright dyson. It has many new features: Best pick up of all uprights, Level 3 root cyclone, 5 year warranty Certified allergy and asthma friendly, Motorized brush bar, Quick draw telescope wand, Brush control button no more knob or clutch.
I absolutely LOVE THIS DYSON! This dyson is for homes with longer carpets and was specifically designed for the U.S.A
This dyson fluffs the carpet like no dyson I have had, That has always been one of my dislikes with the dyson but not any more. This dyson has 2 motors one for the main power, and one for the brush bar which adds even more cleaning power at the head, But I wish I could say the same for the end of the wand. I am a bit disappointed that It does not have as much power as my 14 or 7 But I feel that the way that it picks up at the floor make up for it 100% I would recommend this dyson for single story homes because it is a beast to carry up stairs its very heavy to carry up a singe flight of stairs. But when you are vacuuming with it it feels just like any other dyson light as a feather and this one feels self propelled even tho it is not. I like this model because it has stiffer and longer brushes which help raise carpet nap, and also it does not use a clutch meaning NO MORE CLUTCHES TO GO OUT! just replace a belt. Its allot easier less complicated and allot less time consuming. To turn off the brush bar just push the little red button next to the power button and your off. I like the quick draw feature because there's no more having to press the annoying button to release it. Just grab pull and go!
Pros. Best pick up and fluff of the dysons I have tested. Power Power Power. Quick Draw wand is a plus. No more clutches just a belt that is user replaceable if needed. FEELS LIGHT AS A PEN! Grooms carpets like a dyson SHOULD!
Cons: Heavy when lifting. Filter takes a bit longer to dry for my liking. No more swivel neck on the attachments now makes them feel a bit awkward.
Dyson dc14 Vacuum cleaner review
The dyson dc14 is almost the same as the dc07 but with a few new features. This dyson has a telescopic wand that with the flip of the cap comes straight up and no more fuss with flipping the wand back and forth for when you have to use it. Just grab it and go. This dyson also features a large debris channel which in stead of pushing the larger dirt particles around it has a spread out hold on the cleaner head to get the larger pieces. Has 250 Air watts The features are all the same as the dc07 just with the two options that I have listed. See the dyson dc07 review for more info.
Pros. Same great suction feels like it has more even tho it does not. Love the new wand. Better over all floor pick up. Dyson made the adjustments where needed and made the best even better!
Cons. Smaller dust bin not that big of a deal, Feels a little bit heavier to push.
Would I purchase this over the dyson dc07 yes. Is it worth the current $399 that the base line model is selling for? yes its WORTH EVERY PENNIE!
Dyson dc-07 Vacuum cleaner review
The Dyson dc-07 Has been in europe and the U.S since 2002 this model has: No loss of suction, Brush control for delicate rugs and hard surfaces, Reversible wand, Bottom empty dirt container, Automatic height adjustment, And comes in many interesting colors.
What makes this dyson different: 270 air watts *the more the better*, Root 8 Cyclone with no loss of suction, Reversible wand. and Brush control. The first dyson model to hit the U.S
This dyson is long and lanky by that I mean, Tall and skinny. Personally this is my favorite dyson that dyson has made because its just over all COOL to me at least in my opinion. Has the most power of the dysons that were sold in the U.S *270 air watts* And were priced from $399-$549 No matter what dyson dc07 you have animal to all floors there THE SAME people commonly confuse this. They think that the animal has more power. IT DOESNT its ONLY called the animal because it comes with assorted accessories for all of those pet owners out there. So meaning if you went out and purchased the dc-07 all floors it is the same as the animal just -the extra goodies. + It has a great HEPA filter that you just wash out every 6 months!
Pros: Lots of suction, Tall for the taler folks like me, large dust bin, long hose, Reversible wand, Washable HEPA filter
Cons : The reversible wand is not for every one and can be a bit annoying if you have to use the wand allot.
Over all: Would I purchase this dyson again YES, Do I think there should be a bit more color options for the $399 Yes.
Price: $399-549 Give or take. Depends on where you find it.
Hello world and welcome!
Hello and good day, Here is a little about my blog and my self to get you more aquatinted. I have been collecting vacuums since I was 4. I was born in 1994 and one of my first toys was one of those corn poppers that you push around, that then turned into a toy Dirt Devil vacuum that soon turned into the real deal! I Received my first "actual" vacuum that I could call "my own" when I was 6 *2001* After the devastating loss of my grandma in 2005 I have set out on a new hobby *To collect and review vacuums*
I have now owned 20-30 vacuums various brands to date. Dyson, Kirby, Hoover, Kenmore, ext. And love each of them in there own way. When I was in elementary school I did not have very many friends... BUT I always had my hobby *VACUUMING* one thing I am sure to do. SIck or not some times 3 times a day even.
To my readers: Thank you for taking the time to read my blog/blogs. REMEMBER I AM 15 I WILL AND DO make spelling errors so please excuse me for that. And I wish you all happy readying!
