Hoover High Performance Plus Vacuum

Today 3-18-20 is my first vacuum review on this blog in over 10 years! Lets get started! Filtration: I was hoping that this was a HEPA vacuum however what it actually says on the vacuum is "Filter made with HEPA media" So I am still wondering if this is a Hepa filter or not. Either way it seems to be doing a good job of filtration. The main filter in the canister of the vacuum is washable and is of good quality. The Good: Meet the Hoover High Performance Plus vacuum, boy is this thing a workhorse. This vacuum can be found at most big box stores anywhere from $189-$249USD. Lets start with the good stuff about this vacuum, the power. BOY DOES THIS THING SUCK in a good way, but there is a catch you'll find out later in this review. This thing has power! When you turn the vacuum on, on the correct setting it will literally seal the head to the floor. Another thing that is rare but really great is the 40' power cord, for most homes just plug in at one outlet and go! This vacuum also features the Hoover Quick Pass brush roll, with this it makes vacuuming quick and efficient. Not having to go over a spot with multiple passes of pet hair or debris is nice. This vacuum does a great job at cleaning on freshly vacuumed carpet its filled about a quarter of the bin with debris left behind from another large named vacuum. The Bad: Its heavy... but not too heavy. The headlight is next to useless... depending on when the machine you receive was made it will either have one or it won't... if you get one without a headlight understand that the ones with the headlight like mine are useless. In tis price range it would be nice to see a motorized brush roll vs a rubber belt that should be replaced roughly every 6 months. The Ugly: This vacuum has one very big design flaw, the way the vacuums bottom base plate was designed as I mentioned earlier the head seals itself to the floor... so on most of the height settings its actually pretty hard to push as its technically sealing itself to the floor, however it makes for a very deep cleaning. Overall: If you don't mind getting a small workout vacuuming, and you want a deep cleaning this is defiantly the vacuum for you.
